I need reminders. One look at my desk and you will see – colorful post-its with notes arranged like fans. Today, I have an appointment with my PM&R doctor. A what, you ask? A physical medicine and rehabilitation doctor or physiatrist. (NOT psychiatrist). Before any medical appointment, I get tense. Will this doctor listen to me? Will they blow me off? Will they have answers? I really am getting tired of listing all of my medications on forms. I’m growing tired of talking about my problems. Unless, of course, it is to talk about my feelings about my problems as I am doing here.
So, today, I wear for the first time, my lovely new pendant I purchased from ArchipelagoArts on Etsy.com. It’s adorable and so well made. Such a bargain at $10. I adore it. It’s my reminder to make the most of my appointment today and to exude confidence. Wish me luck!
